Here is good news for royal aficionados. Some of Princess Diana’s famous dresses will be on display early next year at London’s Kensington Palace. The exhibition is a part of $18.8 million renovation of Kensington Place which was her former home. It’s reported that the exhibition entitled ‘Diana’ will display some of her dresses that haven’t been seen in public.
A strapless black silk Emanuel gown which she wore to a charity ball, her first public appearance after engagement will be the main attraction. Other ensembles on display include an ivory silk crepe dinner dress and a fuchsia silk chiffon sari-style gown by Catherine Walker, a black and white sequin cocktail dress by Bellville Sassoon Lorcan Mullany and a black silk shift dress by Versace.
The exhibition will open from March 26 and run until September 2012.
Surely it will be a big hit and people would also like to see some famous jewels from Diana’s collection. Note that Princess Diana’s jewelry collection has some magnificent and antique jewels including the Spencer tiara, the Cambridge lover’s knot tiara, the Swan Lake Suite, the King Faisal of Saudi Arabia Necklace, the wedding band of Welsh Gold and the sapphire engagement ring (now belongs to Kate Middleton).
